Brett Ashton begins his career as an Aircraft Engineering Mechanic in the Royal Navy, laying the groundwork for a future in engineering and management. Ash Harbison begins his journey with the Royal Marines as a Rifleman, progressively taking on more responsibility and honing his leadership abilities.

Brett Ashton retires his military career to Modern Housing Enterprise, undertaking a significant electrical and mechanical engineer role. Ash Harbison remains in the Royal Marines, developing leadership and operational planning skills that would later translate seamlessly into construction management.

Brett Ashton enhances his engineering skills, managing a team focused on electrical and mechanical principles. During this period Brett steps into a Quantity Surveying and Project Management role at CSG, driving forward with innovation and a focus on health and safety. Ash Harbison's military career evolved, from serving as a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer completing multiple operational tours, Ash was promoted to a Royal Marines Officer.

Brett Ashton becomes the M&E Project Director at CPC Electrical and Mechanical Ltd, leading significant projects and driving the company towards obtaining prestigious accreditations. During this time Brett transitioned to Buildsmart MEP. Ash Harbison transitions into the construction management industry initially as an electrical engineer. Ash then joined Brett at Buildsmart MEP.

Today, Buildsmart MEP stands as a testament to the hard work, dedication, and expertise of our team. From managing multi-million-pound projects to leading the way in sustainable construction practices, our journey is far from over. We continue to strive for excellence, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in construction management.
